Work Safely
Safety & Marketplace Standards
Welding carries fire, fume, electrical, structural, and site hazards. Every participant must stop work when conditions are unsafe.
Effective October 2, 2026
Welder responsibilities
Before accepting work, welders must assess whether the scope is within their training, equipment, and legal authority. They must use appropriate PPE, ventilation, grounding, fire prevention, shielding, and safe cylinder and equipment practices; comply with applicable codes and permits; and maintain any credentials or insurance required for the work.
Customer responsibilities
Customers must disclose known hazards, utilities, confined spaces, coatings, fuel or chemical exposure, structural concerns, access limitations, and occupancy conditions. Customers must provide safe access and must not pressure a welder to bypass permits, fire watch, ventilation, or other required controls.
Site and hot-work controls
The parties must agree on the work area, material condition, shutdowns, protection of people and property, and who provides specified materials. Combustibles must be removed or protected. A suitable fire watch and post-work monitoring must be used when required. Work must stop if flammable atmospheres, unknown containers, unsafe structures, or other uncontrolled hazards are present.
Credentials and insurance
WeldBooker may display declared, pending, verified, expired, or rejected credential and insurance states. A review reflects the record available at that time and is not a guarantee of present coverage, workmanship, code compliance, or fitness for a specific job. Customers should request current proof when the risk or law requires it.
Conduct and reporting
No user may threaten, harass, discriminate, falsify records, conceal an incident, or request unlawful work. Keep job communication and price changes in WeldBooker so there is a shared record. Report safety concerns or marketplace abuse to admin@weldbooker.com. For an immediate emergency, stop work and contact local emergency services.
